At nearly ten inches long, this is a proper substantial tractor: chunky enough for a two-year-old to push with both hands, and solid enough to survive years of farm work. It's handcrafted in Germany by a workshop that's been making wooden toys since 1969, which is exactly why these end up handed down rather than thrown out.
And it's only the beginning. A whole family of Fagus trailers hitches on behind — hay wagons, horse boxes, dumper trailers, a conveyor belt — so the farm can grow one piece at a time.
