Description
A row of colourful Amsterdam canal houses, revealed one window at a time! Gwen's illustrated advent calendar takes you along the canal from daytime right through to nightfall, with holiday details tucked into the scene as December unfolds.
Every sixth day a complete silhouette is finished, and that's when it comes to life. Lift off the rear panel, set an LED tea light behind it, and the tall narrow houses glow like stained glass on the mantelpiece or windowsill. Each finished piece fits the Toverlux Lamp and Frame, joining your collection to be brought out again every year.
Why we love the Toverlux Gwen's Illustrations Advent Calendar:
- Amsterdam Canal Houses: Colourful narrow houses along the water, moving from daylight to evening as the countdown goes on.
- Holiday Details to Spot: Festive touches worked into the scene, so there's something new to find each time a window opens.
- Silhouettes That Light Up: Remove the back panel, add an LED light, and colour glows through like stained glass.
- A Countdown Worth Keeping: Each finished silhouette stays in your collection and returns to the mantelpiece year after year.
How does this advent calendar work?
Open one window each day through December, and each opening reveals another piece of the illustrated scene. Every sixth day a complete silhouette is finished. Once it is, lift off the rear panel, place an LED tea light behind it, and the artwork glows like stained glass. Keep the finished silhouettes and display them year after year.
What do I need to light up the silhouettes?
Not much at all. Stand a finished silhouette on a windowsill with the rear panel removed and daylight does the work, glowing through like stained glass. For evenings, place an LED tea light behind it — battery lights only, never a real flame. They also fit the Toverlux Lamp and Frame if you have them.
Canal houses aglow, day turning to night, and a little more light each morning.
