Description
The Christmas story, unfolding one window at a time. Baukje Exler's advent calendar carries you through the nativity in soft, glowing watercolour — figures following the star, an angel appearing in a burst of light, Mary and Joseph journeying with the donkey, and at last the warm archway of the stable.
Every sixth day a complete panel is finished, and the colours truly come alive. Stand it on a sunny windowsill or set an LED tea light behind it, and those purples, oranges, and golds glow like stained glass. Each finished piece fits the Toverlux Lamp and Frame, joining your collection to be brought out again next December.
Why we love the Toverlux Nativity Advent Calendar:
- The Christmas Story in Scenes: The star, the angel, the journey to Bethlehem, and the stable, revealed gradually through December.
- Soft Waldorf-Style Watercolour: Glowing, blended colour in the gentle painting style Waldorf homes and classrooms love.
- Panels That Light Up: Backlit by daylight or an LED, the artwork glows warmly like stained glass.
- A Countdown Worth Keeping: Each finished panel stays in your collection and returns to the mantelpiece year after year.
How does this advent calendar work?
Open one window each day through December, and each opening reveals another piece of the illustrated scene. Every sixth day a complete panel is finished. Once it is, remove the rear panel and stand it in daylight or place an LED tea light behind it, and the artwork glows like stained glass. Keep the finished panels and display them year after year.
Is this a good choice for a family who celebrates the religious meaning of Christmas?
It is. Rather than counting down with treats, this calendar walks through the nativity story itself — the star, the angel, the journey, the stable — which gives families a natural moment each day to talk about what they're waiting for.
The star, the journey, the stable — and a little more light every day.
