About the Brand
The story started in Los Angeles in 1985. Meredithe (whose childhood nickname was Meri Meri) would sit at her kitchen table with scissors, pens, and a big pot of glitter. The first Meri Meri cards were made that way. The magic began...local stationery stores in LA loved her cards and asked for more. From small roots, Meri Meri has evolved into a hugely successful business and design studio with one shared belief: that childhood is sacred.
Meri Meri makes things for magical celebrations: a child’s birthday, an anniversary, an Easter egg hunt, or a perfect Christmas. If you’re planning a special event, they’ve created something just for you. Meri Meri designs beautiful playthings for little people. They can make friends with mermaids, pirates, and unicorns. They can discover a world at the end of a rainbow. They can turn a room into a wild jungle or fairy wonderland.
Ensuring the world is a better place for children is always a top priority at Meri Meri. Meri Meri is committed to making their products as sustainable as possible.
To date, Meri Meri has removed plastic coatings from all new paper table collections, and they utilize FSC™ certified papers and wood wherever possible. Their eco-party range is compostable and uses soy-based inks. Meri Meri uses organic cotton in their knitted baby items, as well as plant-based eco-glitter on their sparkly paper products.
The product team at Meri Meri phases in eco-friendly materials as they become available and continues to experiment with new materials that support their ethos of creating high-quality sustainable and reusable products.
